• Don't be a douche: While in character/in game drama is totally acceptable, please clear things with the other players who will be affected before doing anything major. OOC drama will not be tolerated, and is grounds for immediate dismissal/banning from the game.

• Activity Requirements: Characters must post twice to the network and participate in a minimum of one thread per month. Replies to someone else's network post do not count toward activity. Players are responsible for their own activity; activity checks will be done the last weekend of the month, and inactive characters will be removed after missing two months in a row, or when a pattern is detected showing a burst of activity right before removals each month.

• How many characters can I play? As many as you can keep up with! We ask that you limit yourself to no more than two characters per fandom, and don't play characters who routinely interact with each other.

• Stay true to canon: While characters are expected to evolve within the confines of the game, players are expected to honor the canon portrayal of their chosen characters. EXAMPLE: A very straight character in canon is not going to suddenly turn gay, however players are more than welcome to pursue a storyline that shows growth and development as to how the character's sexuality may change, so that there is solid in-game proof to back up the deviation from canon.

• What fandoms are allowed? Any and all fandoms are allowed. The only stipulation is that the charater must have a human PB. No anime, no cartoons, no animals. Although characters may have pets, animals are not playable characters.

• Can I play an original character? Sure! Just make sure you avoid the Mary Sue/Gary Stu syndrome. OCs should be well rounded individuals. Are there any PB restrictions on Original Characters? PBs must look the age (or assumed age) of the charater. PBs can only be used for ONE original character, but may be used for fandom characters.

• Do I have to use the actor who portrays my character in the movie or TV series? For the most part, yes. If you have a strong and valid reason for using an alternate PB, run it by the mods first and we'll see what we can work out.

• Do I have to be familiar with Supernatural to play here? No! The game takes place in the Supernatural universe, but it's not so different from earth, with the exception of angels and demons, ghosts, ghouls, vampires and other creature borne of nightmare and vivid imaginations.

• Major Plots: Anything that affects a large group of people must be cleared with the mods. Minor things, such as pregnancies, must be discussed with all players affected. Pregnancies are expected to run in real time, with approximately 9 months between conception and delivery.

Head Of A Pin is a season 5 Supernatural game, open to any and all fandoms.



Throughout history, the devil has been blamed for many catastrophes, both natural and man made. Fact of the matter is, the devil had nothing to do with it. Created an arcangel along with his brothers (Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel) Lucifer was banished from heaven for reasons even he doesn't understand. To hear him tell it, he simply loved his Father too much, and didn't love the humans enough, so his Father banished him.

Lucifer has spent most of eternity in a cage, deprived of life and love. Somewhere in the last 20th century, a couple of demons decided to put a plan in motion to free Lucifer. Their goal was achieved in May, 2009 when Sam Winchester killed The First Demon, effectively breaking the final seal, thus freeing Lucifer from his cage.

This is where out game picks up. Lucifer is just beginning to walk the earth, and the earth has begun to feel the effects of his presence. The game is open to any and all fandoms, and knowledge of Supernatural is not necessary to play here. What you do need to know is that Lucifer is walking among man, and the apocalypse is active. How will your character react and prepare? Does he have what it take to survive? You have to play to find out!

Your character will arrive in Detroit thanks to a rift in space and time. Because there is a force field around the city, characters in game can not leave Detroit by any means short of death.

For SPN reference, we diverge from canon at the point in 5x4: The End when Dean tells Sam he thinks they are weaker when they are together. Sam and Dean do NOT reunite, and continue to go their separate ways. They have not seen each other for several weeks, at the time of the game's opening.
